      • those options don’t really help, like at all… still only have money for one to two days a month and it most certainly doesn’t make my life worth living. as a worthless cripple waiting to die in legislated poverty after ruining my body working my ass off, why is my only option a medically assisted suicide?

        • I empathize with u & so many. I am struggling & also on ODSP. But I’m not struggling to the degree u r. Bottom line it’s wrong! This is wrong. This is barely scratching the surface of an economical crisis. And attack of the poor. After I read others comments. I thought; I should go to school & become a Lawyer. Devote my life to helping those in our world who are most vulnerable. These systems need to change. They are sick & twisted. U r not worthless but these systems want us to believe we are & yes probably receive assisted suicide to reduce the world population. After all poor people are useless! Wasn’t Jesus poor? Ha!

          • 💯, I’m also on ODSP with 2 teens, one who is special needs child, and no help there from the government at all.
I may get a little more haven kids under 18, but it still isn’t enough, even with the child tax, I’m still forced to use that for other means instead of banking it for my kids. However, I do give them money off it for lunch and whatever they want to do, but again can only do so much. It sucks, I just got my car 3 years in, and now have to pull it off the road. My oldest had to change schools where there is no bussing for her. And she sure is not taking the city bus alone. The amount they give just for a single person doesn’t justify where we are at in living cost at all, in my opinion, I think ODSP should pay for everyone’s rent, and still allowing them there basic needs amount if not more. I have to use my basic needs amount and shelter amount to pay for rent it’s crazy and unfair.

      • I am on ODSP,I don’t use food banks anymore, I don’t have cable ,just the internet at $40 a month for hi-speed.My phone is from Freedom $55 a month for 50gigs plus an additional 5gs,I have free apps on my phone to watch TV shows and movies and my rent is less then $300 for a one bedroom, the reason I don’t use food banks anymore is because most of the stuff has expired and I will not eat expired food.

        • Hi I volunteer at a foodbank and some stuff may be past the best before but certainly not expired as you said there is a huge difference and this is why our government wants to get rid of bb dates.
