Teaching Practice Model of Undergraduate Students of Industrial Education Faculty of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang

Abstract:
This research aimed to study exploratory factor, confirmatory factor and to construct model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). The research implementation was divided into 3 stages as the followings. Stage 1, to study exploratory factor of model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL by analysis with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), stage 2, to study confirmatory factor of model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL by testing congruence of Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and stage 3, to construct model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL. The research results were revealed that exploratory factor of model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL, composed of 18 components. Components of 1-18 had Eigenvalues equaled to 12.924, 1.286, 4.793, 10.401, 2.263, 2.175, 2.959, 1.856, 2.331, 1.426, 1.770, 1.594, 1.438, 1.606, 1.035, 1.276, 1.200, and 1.054 respectively. These 18 components were able to explain the model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL with 68.249 percents. Confirmatory Factor of model of teaching practice for undergraduate students of Industrial Education Faculty of KMITL composed of 7 components. Component 1 composed of 7 variables. Component 2 composed of 12 variables. Component 3 composed of 17 variables. Component 3 composed of 4 variables. Component 5 composed of 20 variables. Component 6 composed of 6 variables and component 7 composed of 8 variables. Therefore 7 components composed of 74 variables. These 7 components were “Preparation of teaching practice”, “Standards and specification of teaching practice”, “Role and function of Industrial Education Faculty about teaching practice”, “Role of institute about teaching practice”, “Role, function and skill of undergraduate student”, “Role and function of mentor about teaching practice”, and “Role and function of supervisory teacher about teaching practice”.

Abstract:
The objective was to propose the structural model of Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) affecting to environmental behavior for global warming alleviation through inspiration of public consciousness. The populations were 37,101 undergraduate student of Mahasarakham University in second semester of academic year of 2012. The Multi-stage simple random sampling technique was employed to collect the sample of 400 undergraduate students. The research instrument was the questionnaire and it was used for data collecting. LISREL was used for model verification. Results illustrated that the structural model confirmatory factors of Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) were able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) to caused Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 96.00 percents as following in equation (1). BEH=0.46AQ+0.34EQ+0.72IPC (R2=0.96) Equation (1) factors that had the most effect to Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) was Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with effect of 0.72 and subsequences were Adversity Quotient (AQ) with effect of 0.46 and Emotional Quotient (EQ) with effect of 0.34. These were able to explain the variation of Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 96.00 percents. Consequently, confirmatory factors of Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ), were able to explain the variation of confirmatory factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 87.00 percents. Therefore, the equation can be written as following equation (2). IPC=0.57*AQ+0.34*EQ (R2=0.87) Equation (2) factors that had the most effect to Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) was Adversity Quotient (AQ) with effect of 0.57, subsequence was Emotional Quotient (EQ) with effect of 0.34. These were able to explain the variation of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 87.00 percents.

Consequently, confirmatory factors of Intelligent Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Adversity Quotient (AQ) were able to explain the variation of confirmatory factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 71.00 percents. Therefore, the equation can be written as following equation (2). IPC=0.29*IQ+0.47*AQ (R2=0.71) Equation (2) factors that had the most effect to Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) was Adversity Quotient (AQ) with effect of 0.47, subsequence was Intelligent Quotient (IQ) with effect of 0.29. These were able to explain the variation of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 71.00 percents.

Abstract:
The populations were 5,511undergraduate students of the second semester of academic year 2012 of Roi Et Rajabhat University. The Multi-stage random sampling was used to collect the sample for 400 undergraduate students. The questionnaire was employed as instrument for data collecting. LISREL was used for model verification. Results illustrated as Equation 1and 2 as followings. Considering on structural model confirmatory factors was able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Mind (PM) to caused Forest Conservation Behaviors (BEH) with 70.00 percents and the variation of endogenous factor of Inspiration of Public Mind (PM) with 93.00 percents. Therefore, the equation 1 and 2 can be written as followings. BEH=0.58*PM+0.33*PsS+0.31*EE (R2=0.70) PM=0.23*PsT-0.11*PsS+0.99*EE (R2=0.93)

Plants Diversity in Chee-long Forest Park in Maha Sarakham Province of Thailand

Abstract:
The research objective was to study the plant biodiversity in Chee-long Forest Park in Maha Sarakham Province, Northeastern region of Thailand. The 13 plots were located in 136 rai (2.59 rai= 1 acre) with plot size of 20X20 meters (m) and the internet system was developed with application of Google Earth via Google Map API to present each plant species location. The results of study, the plant diversity at Chee-long Forest Park was revealed that there are 51 families and 79 species and it was classified into perennial tree with 32 families and 52 species and under-storey plant with 19 families and 22 species. Tree density was 31.92 stems/plot and species with highest Importance Value Index (IVI) was Nang dum (local name), generic name (Velvet tamarind) and scientific name (Diospyros gracilis Fletcher) with value of 60.07. Subsequences are Khoi (local name), generic name (Siamese rough bush, Tooth brush) and scientific name (Streblus asper Lour.) with value of 41.29, and Yangna (local name, generic name (Yang), and scientific name (Dipterocarpus alatus Roxb. Ex G) with value of 37.13 respectively. The utilization in Chee-long Forest Park, it was found that the local people use the area potential for fishery, gathering mushroom, bamboo shoot, ant egg, and herbs. The research results can illustrate as map for biodiversity study and plant diversity via internet channel.

The Multi-stage simple random sampling technique was employed to collect the sample of 400 undergraduate students. The research instrument was the questionnaire and it was used for data collecting. LISREL was used for model verification. Results illustrated that the structural model confirmatory factors of Adversity Quotient (AQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), and Environmental Education (EE) were able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) to caused Environmental Behaviors (BEH) with 98.40 percents as following in equation (1). BEH=0.27*EQ+0.29*MQ+0.30*AQ+0.39*EE+0.56*IPC (R2=0.984) Equation (1) factors that had the most effect to Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) was Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with effect of 0.56 and subsequences were Adversity Quotient (AQ), Moral Quotient (MQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) with effect of 0.30, 0.29 and 27 respectively. These were able to explain the variation of Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 98.40 percents. Consequently, confirmatory factors of Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ) and Adversity Quotient (AQ), were able to explain the variation of confirmatory factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 89.00 percents. Therefore, the equation can be written as following equation (2). IPC=0.37*EE+0.34*AQ+0.33*MQ+0.28*EQ (R2=0.92) Equation (2) factors that had the most effect to Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) was Environmental Education (EE) with effect of 0.37, subsequences were Adversity Quotient (AQ), Moral Quotient (MQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) with effect of0.34, 0.33 and 28. These were able to explain the variation of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 92.00 percents.

Effect of Empowerment on Quality of Work Life, Organizational Trust and Organizational Commitment at Private Higher Education Institutions in East Java

Abstract:
Empowerment is a construct considered important for organizations such as Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) because empowerment is as the concept of motivation of self-confidence and management techniques implemented by organizations to enhance organizational effectiveness. Empowerment as a type of motivation refers to the desire to do activity, to innovate in order to increase the contribution to the organization, thus, empowerment provides the necessary conditions to build organizational commitment, meaning that the focus on empowerment is as a beginning of organizational commitment. The purpose of this research was to explain interdependence of empowerment on quality of work life, organizational trust, and organizational commitment. This is an exploratory research trying to find a relatively new relationship and explanatory research describing the symptoms caused by the object of research, conducted in private higher education institutions in East Java. The sampling method was multistage sampling. The population were 2443 lecturers, and the samples were 145 lecturers. The data analysis used multivariate statistical method (Structural Equation Modelling) with the application of AMOS software. The research results: Empowerment affects on organizational commitment indirectly, i.e. through the intervening quality of work life and organizational trust. It means that in order to improve organizational commitment, it must be considered the factors of quality of work life and organizational trust.

Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable Local Cattle Development Model in Dumoga Barat Subdistrict of Bolaang Mangondow Regency

Abstract:
Dumoga Barat has the highest local cattle population in Bolaang Mongondow Regency, equal to 3853 head of cattle. Local cattle have potential to be developed as a profitable business. The problem is that this potential has not been utilized optimally. This study aims to find the environmentally friendly and sustainable local cattle development model in Dumoga Barat Subdistrict. Werdhi Agung, Kinomaligan, and Duloduo villages were chosen by purposive sampling i.e. the villages that had the highest cattle population. Livestock farmers in each village sample were restricted to farmers who had a minimum 2 (two) local cattle and had already sold cattle, as many as 66 respondents. The results show that the total revenue is Rp 11,345,543.67 per year per farmer earned from the sale and lease of cattle. The value of R/C ratio is 1.88, but the value of p/C ratio is only 0.88. The revenue can be increased by integration approach of local cattle-food crops. Utilization of cattle dung for compost and biogas can suppress the increase of greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the environmentally friendly development of local cattle in Dumoga Barat subdistrict can be carried out by integration model approach of local cattle-food crops. Integration development model can provide good benefits for livestock farmers on welfare increase, as well as being environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Integrity of the Apparatus of the State Officials in Corruption Eradication in Indonesia

Abstract:
Paragraph IV of the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (herein after referred to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia) asserts that the objectives of the state of Indonesia are to protect all the Indonesian people and their entire motherland, to advance the public welfare, to develop the intellectual life of the nation, and to contribute towards the establishment of a world order based on peace and social justice. The law enforcement should be carried out with full determination, empathy, dedication, commitment and courage with the support from ideal legal substances and cooperative societies. The aim of this research is to examine the integrity of the apparatus of the state officials in corruption eradication in Indonesia. This study belongs to the category of the qualitative research design. The result of this study is given: Corruption occurs only if three things are met, namely: (1) there is a benefit or rent that can be shared (2) a public official who has the power facilitates the process of corruption in the context of allowing access to certain parties to the benefit, and (3) there are certain parties who perform bribery actions. The integrity of the state officials is based on the legal consciousness of the apparatus of state officials who later will raise collective consciousness of the law on the state administration agencies. This legal awareness is inherent in the behavior and not in the law as a rule. Legal awareness will influence the legal compliance of the state officials resulting in collective legal compliance of the state administration agencies making the integrity of the state officials as a reflection of legal awareness and compliance of the state officials personally and institutonally which will help realize effectiveness in eradicating corruption.

Results illustrated that the structural model confirmatory factors of Environmental Education (EE), Intelligent Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ) and Environmental Education (EE) were able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) to caused Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 98.00 percents as following in equation (1). BEH=0.43*EE+0.26*IQ+0.30*EQ+0.34*MQ+0.61*IPC (R2=0.98) Equation (1) factors that had the most effect to Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) was Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with effect of 0.61 and subsequences were Environmental Education (EE), Moral Quotient (MQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with effect of 0.43, 0.34, 0.30 and 0.26 respectively. These were able to explain the variation of Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 98.00 percents. Consequently, confirmatory factors of Environmental Education (EE), Intelligent Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Moral Quotient (MQ) were able to explain the variation of confirmatory factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 92.00 percents. Therefore, the equation can be written as following equation (2). IPC=0.44*EE+0.23*IQ+0.32*EQ+0.34*MQ (R2=0.92) Equation (2) factors that had the most effect to Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) was Environmental Education (EE) with effect of 0.44, subsequences were Moral Quotient (MQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Intelligent Quotient (IQ) with effect of 0.34, 0.32 and 0.23. These were able to explain the variation of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) with 92.00 percents.

The objective was to propose the structural model of Intelligent Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Environmental Education (EE) affecting to environmental behavior for global warming alleviation through inspiration of public consciousness. The populations were 37,101 undergraduate student of Mahasarakham University in second semester of academic year of 2012. The Multi-stage simple random sampling technique was employed to collect the sample for 400 undergraduate students. The research instrument was the questionnaire and it was used for data collecting. LISREL was used for model verification. Results illustrated that the structural model confirmatory factors of Environmental Education (EE), Intelligent Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), and Adversity Quotient (AQ) were able to explain the variation of endogenous factors of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) to caused Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 99.00 percents as following in equation (1). BEH=0.43*EE+0.25*IQ+0.27*EQ+0.33*MQ+037*AQ+0.55IPC (R2=0.99) Equation (1) factors that had the most effect to Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) was Inspiration of Public Consciousness (IPC) with effect of 0.55 and subsequences were Environmental Education (EE), Adversity Quotient (AQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with effect of 0.43, 0.37, 0.33, 0.27, and 0.25 respectively. These were able to explain the variation of Environmental Behaviors for Global Warming Alleviation (BEH) with 99.00 percents. IPC=0.45*EE+0.23*IQ+0.26*EQ+0.34*MQ+035*AQ (R2=0.96) Equation (2) factors that had the most effect to Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental Conservation (IPC) was Environmental Education (EE), with effect of 0.45, subsequences were Adversity Quotient (AQ), Moral Quotient (MQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) with effect of 0.35, 0.34, 0.26, and 0.23. These were able to explain the variation of Inspiration of Public Consciousness for Environmental conservation (IPC) with 96.00 percents.
