Professor Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja receives the prestigious Distinguished Scholar Award

European Journal of Scientific Research pays tribute to Professor Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja’s contribution to the field of Science through his article titled “Importance des Vitamines en Synthèse Organique Importance of Vitamins in Organic Synthesis”

Professor Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja, who is affiliated with the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of the recipients of the Distinguished Scholar Award in 2021. With this award, the independent ad hoc Scientific Award Committee and the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Scientific Research pays tribute to Prof. Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja’s contribution to the field of Science through his scientific article titled “Importance des Vitamines en Synthèse Organique Importance of Vitamins in Organic Synthesis”.

Professor Adrian Marcus Steinberg, the Chair of the Independent ad hoc Scientific Award Committee, said:

"The Distinguished Scholar Award is a prestigious academic recognition that have been presented to a very limited number of scientists from around the world since 2004 regardless of which scientific journal they have chosen as an outlet for their research. Selection of candidates are based on their outstanding scholarly contribution to the scientific knowledge in their fields of scientific research with respect to a set of criteria, including the overall importance of the research question or problem and level of innovation in the topic, the effectiveness and novelty of the methodology and data employed, academic significance and usefulness of conclusions resulting from the research, adequacy of the critical review of relevant literature and the broad application of the findings."

Prof. Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja currently works as a Professor of organic chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He received Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of the association of graduates of Laval University. He is also a member of University of Manitoba Alumni Association, Manitoba, Canada, and a Representative of Lubumbashi University to Canadian Universities. He is a Research Associate at Hydro-Quebec Institute for Environment, Development and Society at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is a member of Editorial Board of many Journals, and has received many invitations to publish in many Journals as well as to act as keynote speaker and as an organizing committee member of several international conferences. Topwe Milongwe Mwene-Mbeja does research in Medicinal Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. His group is interested in the discovery of biologically active natural products possessing properties against cancer. His group is also interested in green chemistry projects related to the prevention of pollution of the environment and sustainable development.
